‘Making doll’s houses is really great fun. It makes you think back to how you played as a child …’ Beban Nord 2013 1
Designed by Swedish Box Design architects and furniture designers Ann Morsing and Beban Nord, the Stockholm was the first new Lundby design in 15 years. 2
Stockholm is a contemporary, open plan home designed for relaxed living. It is light-filled, colourful and has a roof terrace for entertaining and a pull-out swimming pool. The Lundby doll families, who love living their imaginary lives in a Stockholm, are the ‘summertime family’ (barbeques and pool parties) and the ‘sporty family’ (yoga, jogging and a passion for healthy cooking). 3
Morsing and Nord enjoy recreating their existing furniture designs in miniature and immersing themselves in the world of the dolls to create new pieces.
‘We really try to get a feel for the dolls and their lives. What are their families like? How do they spend their days? How would they like their home to be? It’s very close to playing - we fantasise about the dolls.’ 4
MG The paintings in Stockholm were commissioned by Swedish artist, Lisa Rinnevuo.
