This house has been part of Leonie’s life and memories for over fifty years.
The house, contents and furnishings are unaltered from when she received the house as a child in the 1950s. The excellent condition of the house and furnishings is a reflection of the significance of this house to Leonie.
The house does not have any manufacturing details and may have been made by a carpenter/builder or home handyperson.
It is an interesting design of four major rooms at the front with a hall and small bathroom behind the central panel and front door. The smaller spaces are accessible from the back.
The furniture is a mix of sets. It is predominantly Kleeware, an affordable plastic furniture line manufactured by O & M Kleemann in the UK. The child, garden seat and the dog are part of the Playtime Family series by Thomas Manufacturing Corp., USA and were produced in 1950s.
