The collector acquired this house from a woman who had bought a locally made house and furniture for her children, for Christmas. She had purchased the house and furniture in Richmond, but the toys were also associated with an address in Bay Street, North Brighton.
The furniture pieces have stickers reading ‘Made in Australia by the Toycraft Company, Melbourne Australia and guaranteed’. The house may have been built by Toycraft too.
The house is an interesting design and features two small rooms, with original paintwork, that are accessed from the side.
